This sort of problem might occur, if you are owning CA 7.1 purchased from us in February-March, 2003. The problem concerns downloading the Chess Opening 2003 base. The following zips are here to solve the possible problem.
Chess Openings 2003 Bases for CA 7.1 users	Please download one of the zips that follow, unpack and overwrite it over the CO 2003 base in your Chess Assistant 7.1 program. (It is also possible to delete your elder base version first and copy the base only then): Chess Openings 2003 Base (English version) Chess Openings 2003 Base (German version) Chess Openings 2003 Base (Spanish version) Chess Openings 2003 Base (French version) Chess Openings 2003 Base (Italian version)
When using either Windows 98 or ME one may face a 3-5% possible installation problem. The patches you see below are here to absolutely eliminate this sort of problems.
Total Chess Training	Copy setup-eng.exe from the English directory of your CD to the hard disk. (!!please note that each language version has a different setup located in a separate directory: CASTELLANO => Setup_5in1_Spa.exe DEUTSCH => Setup_5in1_Ger.exe ENGLISH => Setup_5in1_Eng.exe FRANCAIS => Setup_5in1_Fra.exe ITALIANO => Setup_5in1_Ita.exe) Put out the Total Chess Training CD of your CD-ROM. Run setup-eng.exe from the hard disk. Download the "TCT_Patch.exe" off our website into the Total Chess Training directory. Insert the Total Chess Training CD and run the TCT_Patch.exe (do not forget to press the Update button) As soon as everything is buzzed, wait a while and restart the computer. Run Total Chess Training again

Insert the Chess Endgame Training CD and run the CET_Patch.exe (do not forget to press the Update button) As soon as everything is buzzed, wait a while and restart the computer. Run Chess Endgame Training again
Theory and Practice of Chess Endings	Copy setup-eng.exe from the English directory of your CD to the hard disk. (!!please note that each language version has a different setup located in a separate directory: CASTELLANO => setup_Spa.exe ENGLISH => setup_Eng.exe Put out the Theory and Practice of Chess Endings CD of your CD-ROM. Run setup-eng.exe from the hard disk. Download the "TPCE_Patch.exe" off our website into the Theory and Practice of Chess Endings directory. Insert the Theory and Practice of Chess Endings CD and run the TPCE_Patch.exe (do not forget to press the Update button) As soon as everything is buzzed, wait a while and restart the computer. Run Theory and Practice of Chess Endings again
Sounds.zip (4.5MB) Moves pronunciation.	This is for your Chess Assistant to start talking to you. Please download the file sounds.zip This archive includes Cells subdirectory containing in its turn all the sound files necessary for moves pronounciation Extract Cells subdirectory from archive Place Cells subdirectory into your CA 6.1/Sounds/ So eventually all the sound files are in your own directory CA 6.1/Sounds/Cells.
Setup_fonts.exe	This patch is your assistant for any of our training programs if chess piece-like fonts failed to be set at your computer.
Upgrade from CA 6.0 to CA 6.1	This program will automatically upgrade your legal copy of Chess Assistant 6.0 to the latest 6.1 version.
Chess Assistant 6.1 - Build 660	The previous Build 659 used to correct the Seek error when playing on the ICC while the new Build 660 is as well of help when an ICC game is over but the program is buzzing.

Chess Assistant 5
CAmeFix.exe	CAmeFix.exe program fixes unexpected problem with starting Chess Assistant under Windows Millenium system. If Chess Assistant displays "Runtime error 501(2)" than you should place CAmeFix program (61KB) into Chess Assistant folder and run it. After making patch program should display CAWIN.EXE is successfuly fixed
setup5c.exe	For Chess Assistant 5.0 If Runtime error 501(255) appears after CA 5.0 installation - this means that CA setup process was not completed and CAWIN.EXE file is not tied for your computer. Use Setup5c.exe (140KB) program in this case. Install CA 5.0 anyway. Place Setup5.exe program into CA 5 directory Run it Check that CA 5.0 CD in the CD ROM drive Check that program defines CD drive letter correctly Type in serial number of your CA 5.0 package Click "Fix CA 5.0 Setup" button. On some computer systems program can still be hanging. Anyway it must do it's work. So just reboot computer and run CAWIN program. Please, send any information about results of using this program.
